Easy Washcloth with Lace Edging

I adapted this from a LionBrand pattern. I didn't like sewing the lace edge on separate. This edge is crocheted on and will last much longer. If you have any questions, feel free to email me at mrs_tea_mouse at hotmail dot com, or leave a comment

Cast on 32 sts using your choice of cotton yarn.
Work until piece measures 8", bind off and weave in ends.
Cloth should now be an 8" square.
Using a 4.5 crochet hook join in any corner space with a sl st.

Row 1: Ch 1 and work sc evenly around the cloth. I did 36 down each side and 3 sc in each corner space. Ch 1 turn.
Row 2: Work 1 dc in every sc space, working 3 dc in the corner space. Ch 3 turn.
Row 3: Skip first dc and sl st into next dc sp. *Ch 3, sk next dc sp, sl st into next dc sp* do this around from *. To end join with sl st to top of first ch 3 sp, bind off and weave in ends.
